Public Policy Issues in Texas - 831 Words

Public Policy Issues in Texas Introduction: As the largest state by area in the continental U.S. as the second most populous, Texas has its significant share of public policy challenges with which to contend. And as the discussion hereafter will show, many of these challenges serve as a microcosm of the broader pubic policy issues facing the United States. The issues addressed here below help to provide a better understanding of the complexities of public policy maintenance in a large and diverse state. Policy Issues: One public policy issue that is attracting a great deal of attention is the matter of prison reform. While a great many members of the public support improvements in the safety, security and quality of life in prisons, few will endorse this at the expense of the same for law-abiding citizens. However, according to Koh (2013), Texas is currently facing one such dilemma. According to Koh, prison reforms may result in better conditions for inmates, but those improvements come at the expense of welfare cash assistance and other government relief for the needy, according to a study released this month by Rice University and Louisiana State University. (Koh, p. 1) This highlights the dilemma of public policy orientation under the thumb of budgetary limits and demonstrates the difficulty of establishing priorities in the protection and furthering of the publics interests. The Presentation of Miss Havisham in Chapter 8 and in...

The Presentation of Miss Havisham in Chapter 8 and in Chapter 49 of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens In chapter 8 of Great Expectations, the author, Charles Dickens, initially presents Miss Havisham through Pips eyes as an eccentric old lady her hair was white, who lives in seclusion with her adopted daughter, Estella. She lives vicariously through Estella, all her inner thoughts and feelings are brought to life through Estella; therefore she is able to teach her to break the hearts of men. We discover that she was deserted on her wedding day, and then made it her lifes purpose to raise Estella as a cruel- hearted woman wholl break the hearts of men and seek revenge on the male population†¦show more content†¦By wilfully stopping her life at a moment of pain and humiliation, she indulges her own anger, self-pity, and desire for revenge. She imagines her death as an ultimate curse upon the man who jilted her. In her revenge, which destroys her life, she is like a child who hurts itself in its anger at someone else. Dickens uses strong imagery to describe Miss Havishams house (The Manor House) as barren of feelings or even life, The cold wind seemed to blow colder there, than outside the gate... Also the surroundings of the house is described in a gothic theme as it is unusual and gloomy, the passages were all dark, and that she had left a candle burning there. This suggests a peculiar setting and household. Miss Havisham is rich too, and deceives Pip by implying that shes his benefactor. In chapter 8, Miss Havisham is exceedingly manipulative, I stopped, fearing that I might say too much. This implies that Pip is afraid of Miss Havisham. Also, Pip indicates that he is nervous whilst talking to Miss Havisham and tries to say as little as possible in case he accidentally speaks out of turn and she does something unpleasant to him. Miss Havishams character is presented to be fairly miserable and unhappy, sure that Miss Havishams face could not smile. This is suggested to us by Pip quoting Miss Havishams

Accounting Financial Analysis Report Capital Structure

Question: Write about theAccounting Financial Analysis Report for Capital Structure. Answer: Introduction A capital structure of a company is the source of funds that are generated by the company to invest the same in the operations and earn profits out of it. It is the decision made by the companies wherein the company have to maintain a balance between the funds that will be borrowed from the market and the funds that will be invested by the company itself. In this report it is discussed that how the investment policy will be managed by the company. Also the ancient theory of Miller and Modigliani who presented the in depth details of capital structure is also discussed in the report. The discussion on the importance of debt favouring and of an equity oriented structure is also discusses. Miller ad Modiglianis theory- Capital Structure Choices Affect a Companys Real Investment Policy A company spreads its business by applying its assets for the generation of revenue from it. After the revenue is generated, payment of taxes is done and the remaining money is retained in the business. It depends on the structure of the company, if the company is an equity base, then the retained amount will be distributed amount the shareholder in the form of dividend. In case the company has debts which are to be repaid by the company, then it be the obligation to repay the same first ad den the remaining part of the earning will be distributed to the shareholders. The discussion was made in order to understand the basic structure of the company. The money that is used by the company for funding the operations is the capital structure (Ardalan, 2017). The allocation of the earning in form of investments in order to earn profits is decided keeping in mind the capital structure of the company. The total market value of the company is dependent on the capital structure (equity and de bt) of the company. It is observed that the when the company have a higher debt structure or it believes in increasing the amount of debt in the company. Then the value of the earning will increase till a point but after that it will increase the cost of the company resulting in reducing in the final market value (Tesfaye and Minga, 2014). Miller and Modigliani where the two experts who studied the concept of capital structure and its effect on the investment of the company in depth. According to the concept which was shared by them the value of the company in the market completely depends on the risk factor and on the financial instruments that are underlying in the derivate market i.e. the underlying assets (Hackbarth and Mauer, 2012). It was considered that the value is not dependent on the method that is considered to fund its investments. The theory was established in a situation of assumptions. No taxes, no transaction and bankruptcy cost, no different cost borrowing for the company and investors. No effect of the debt obligation on the earnings of the company was some of the assumptions associated with the theory. This means that no matter how much are the borrowing of the company there will be benefits of tax out of the payment of interest. There is no benefit from the increase in the debt of the company; the s tructure opted for the capital of the company does not affect the value of the shares of the company (Baker and Martin, 2011). On a whole this would mean that the capital structure of the company would not be relevant for the share prices or the investments of the company. In the real world scenario there is no stage where there are no taxes, no transactional cost, no bankruptcy cost and no difference in the rate of borrowings. Taxes are right of the government and with the payment of taxes there are various benefits that are available for the company. In the real world the companies are more successful with the high debt ratio in the capital structure (Zhang and Zou, 2016). Which helps in generating the funds for the company? With this the company earns profits with investing less amount of its own in the capital. Also this affects the value of the company as a whole. The cost at which the money is borrowed from the market is different for different person depending on their creditability of paying the same back (Peter, Tatiana and Natali 2014). Hence, it is not viable that the cost of borrowings is same for the company and investors as this cost affects the decision of investment in future projects. It is observed that no investor have a complete kno wledge about the information that is accessed by the companies. This will make it difficult for the companies to work in the market. Therefore, the concept of symmetric information with the companies and investors is not viable for the working (Cortez and Susanto, 2012). Investments that are made by the companies are to a great extend dependent of its capital structure. If the company has a structure in which the share of the equity is more, then the earning remained after the distribution of dividend will be more as compared to structure in which there is more debt ratio. This gives an upper hand to the companies to decide over the investment strategy as the availability of funds will be managed according to the capital structure (Apos, Mello and Farhat, 2008). Conclusion During the preparation of the project it was observed that the theory of Miller and Modigliani was based on assumption which does not stand relevant in todays scenario. The capital structure of the company which is the combination of debt and equity by the way of which the company raises its funds to operate the working, is a help for it to make decisions of investments and maintain better profit margins. It is also observed that the perspective of the business working today is not just equity base but also the companies make it viable for them to borrow monies from market and repay the same within time. Dangerous Situations and Fear Essay Example

Dangerous Situations and Fear Essay Fear is an emotion aroused by danger. It is an important protective instinct. At any hint of danger, a substance called noradrenalin is released into the blood. This prepares the body for action. When we are scared, our skin is pale, as blood is diverted to the muscles. Our body is sweating more, to cool the muscles; our breathing is faster, and provides so more oxygen for the muscles; our heart beats faster to push more blood to the muscles. Also the gut and bladder relax, as blood is diverted from them to the muscles. As a result, we can feel quite sick and breathless. In many creatures, including man, fear can also cause paralysis, or freezing with terror. It is very common to experience fears in childhood. Many of these childhood fears, such as a fear of animals, darkness, storms, doctors and strangers, disappear as the child gets older. However, as people get older, a few may suffer badly from phobias. These are unreasonable fears, which send one’s body and mind into panic . Some of the common phobias are a fear of heights, spiders, and closed places, flying in planes, speaking in public, injections or blood. There are also endless uncommon phobias, including fear of running water, swallowing solid food and even going to the hairdresser’s. Everyone is mildly phobic about something, it is natural. But when your phobia spoils your life it’s time to do something. When I was a child, I didn’t have any typical childhood phobias, except of one, which lasted until now – my fear of insects. My childhood was also probably the most dangerous part of my life. Most children don’t have the self-preservation instinct and neither did I. Bruises were quite common and I never remembered how and when I injured myself. Also bloody knees and elbows were part of my everyday life. As I grew older, wounds started to appear more and more seldom and I am happy to say, that I have never had any more serious injuries as a dislocated ankle. I hav e also never been in an extremely dangerous situation, only some common ones. Probably the most common dangerous situations are falls falls of bicycles, roller skates, horses†¦ I have been learning riding a few times in our holiday and once I also fell down. Of course, it was not pleasant, but also not very dangerous, as I am not a good rider so the horse was just trotting.I hurt my head, although I was wearing a helmet, and my hands and my buttock, but it was my self-confidence, that was hurt most. Once, it was in summer, I was going to a lake with my friends to chill, because the days were really hot. We decided to swim across it. When we were right in the middle, I got a cramp into my calf. It was painful and I couldn’t move the leg. After a few minutes, when I felt a bit better and tried to return to the bank, my latter leg received a cramp. That time I luckily had a friend nearby, who helped me to get to dry land so it had a fortunate end.In none of these situation s I felt fear, because I didn’t felt like my life could be in danger. As I said, I have no experiences with really dangerous situations, but I think that almost every situation can turn to a dangerous one. Of course, various kinds sport, mainly extreme sports and speed sports, adjust the amount of danger of the situation. But even when you step out of the door you can bring yourself into danger. I think that it is important to find a balance between setting our lives consciously and unceasingly in danger and sitting at home timidly don’t enjoying our life.

Free Essays on Linear Regression

Regression Analysis can be identified as providing a â€Å"best-fit† mathematical equation for the values of the two variables that you chose to analyze. From this we get two types of analysis, one being Simple Linear Regression Analysis, which we have been working with. This type of analysis can be defined as a regression model that uses one independent variable to explain the variation in the dependent variable. From the data given we have chosen to look at the affect experience (in years) has at this given company on annual salary. From gathering the data it is my hypothesis that there will be a positive linear relationship between experience and annual salary. Now lets see if the data supports or contests this. The first thing done when using the mini-tab program is to put all your data into the columns. Once you have done that you can start to look at your regression analysis. Because I inserted the data by hand, the columns are as follows: C1: Annual salary in dollars, C2: Experience in years, C3: Gender, C4: Age (years), C5: Training level (A=1, B=2, C=3). From the regression analysis the first thing we get is B1. The B1 value is located on the computer print out under the coefficient column and the horizontal column C2. The B1 value tells us that for every unit change in X, it will contribute to the Y by 1833.9 units. Since we have a positive slope, a one-unit increase in X will lead to an increase in Y by 1833.9 units. After we find out what B1 is we then can find out what B0 is which is also located under the coefficient column horizontally in the constant column. This value is 34,620 which to us means that when X is zero then Y(hat)=34620. The fundamental equation for our r egression analysis is Y(hat)= 34620+ 1833.9X. From this equation we can now predict what our annual salary will be using a value of X or the years of experience. There are three important terms the Sum of the Squared Error, the Sum of Sq... Water Gas Definition and Uses

Water Gas Definition and Uses Water gas is a combustion fuel containing carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen gas (H2). Water gas is made by passing steam over heated hydrocarbons. The reaction between steam and hydrocarbons produces synthesis gas. The water-gas shift reaction can be used to reduce carbon dioxide levels and enrich hydrogen content, making water gas. The water-gas shift reaction is: CO H2O → CO2Â   H2 History The water-gas shift reaction was first described in 1780 by Italian physicist Felice Fontana. In 1828, water gas was produced in England by blowing steam across white-hot coke. In 1873, Thaddeus S.C. Lowe patented a process that used the water-gas shift reaction to enrich the gas with hydrogen. In Lowes process, pressurized steam was shot over hot coal, with heat maintained using chimneys. The resulting gas was cooled and scrubbed before use. Lowes process led to the rise of the gas manufacturing industry and the development of similar processes for other gases, such as the Haber-Bosch process to synthesize ammonia. As ammonia became available, the refrigeration industry rose. Lowe held patents for ice machines and devices that ran on hydrogen gas. Production The principle of water gas production is straightforward. Steam is forced over red-hot or white-hot carbon-based fuel, producing the following reaction: H2O C → H2Â   CO (ΔH 131Â  kJ/mol) This reaction is endothermic (absorbs heat), so heat must be added to sustain it. There are two ways this is done. One is to alternate between steam and air to cause combustion of some carbon (an exothermic process): O2Â   C → CO2Â  (ΔH −393.5Â  kJ/mol) The other method is to use oxygen gas rather than air, which yields carbon monoxide rather than carbon dioxide: O2Â   2 C → 2 CO (ΔH −221Â  kJ/mol) Different Forms of Water Gas There are different types of water gas. The composition of the resulting gas depends on the process used to make it: Water gas shift reaction gas: This is the name given to water gas made using the water-gas shift reaction to obtain pure hydrogen (or at least enriched hydrogen). The carbon monoxide from the initial reaction is reacted with water to remove carbon dioxide, leaving only the hydrogen gas.Semi-water gas: Semi-water gas is a mixture of water gas and producer gas. Producer gas is the name of fuel gas derived from coal or coke, as opposed to natural gas. Semi-water gas is made by collecting the gas produced when steam is alternated with air to burn coke to maintain a high enough temperature to sustain the water gas reaction.Carburetted water gas: Carburetted water gas is produced to enhance the energy value of water gas, which is ordinarily lower than that of coal gas. Water gas is carburetted by passing it through a heated retort which has been sprayed with oil. Uses of Water Gas Water gas used in the synthesis of some industrial processes: To remove carbon dioxide from fuel cells.Reacted with producer gas to make fuel gas.It is used in the Fischer-Tropsch process. It is used to obtain pure hydrogen to synthesize ammonia.

Law Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 6

Law - Essay Example He introduced Equity which formed the basis of a new source for English Law. The purpose of equity was to look for natural justice where traditional legal sense failed to deliver justice. Following Royal courts were formed for this purpose: For centuries the highest legal authority in the United Kingdom was the Parliament or more precisely the House of Lords. This situation has changed in the recent times though. Under the Constitutional Reforms Act 2005, the Supreme Court of United Kingdom is created which is now the highest legal authority in the country. It is also the highest level of appeal in the United Kingdom. .1 (F. A. Inderwick) United Kingdom joined European community – now knows as European Union- in 1973 and since then European Law has a profound impact on English Law. First, the Communities Act 1972 made it binding for the English courts to follow its decision on matter of community law. Then, the Human Rights Act 1998 asked English courts to have regard of decisions made by European court of Human Rights. This process of development is still in process. â€Å"Natural Law† is based upon a set of principles which are set by nature and therefore have universal legitimacy and wide acceptance. â€Å"Equity† or â€Å"Justice† is believed to alleviate the strictness of â€Å"English Common Law† by allowing courts to use their good judgment and apply justice in accordance with â€Å"Natural Law†. According to Hobbes, there are nineteen laws of nature. 2 (Thomas Hobbes) Equity looked to follow these natural laws in order to seek justice. The Court of Chancery originated in Norman or Kings Council. It is also called the â€Å"Court of Equity† in England and Wales. The Chancery had jurisdiction over all matters of equity, including trusts, property law and the administration of the assets etc. Party coming to Equity court must be with clean hands. Clean hands does not mean that a person with wrong deeds cannot obtain the aid of equity but it

Cell Wall Biogenesis Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Cell Wall Biogenesis - Essay Example The wall consists of complex mixture of polysaccharides and polymers that secret the cell through a network of bonds. The plant cell walls also have enzymes, natural proteins, and phenol polymers that modify the chemical and physical properties (Carpita 445) Different plants contain unique chemical composition and structures while all have the same role of regulating the cell and providing it with a shape. The plant cells acquire biological and diverse functions crucial in human economics. In its natural form, the plant cell wall has the following commercial purposes textiles, paper, charcoal, wood products, and fibers. One can modify polysaccharides to make adhesives, thickeners, films, coatings, plastics, and gels ( Taiz and Eduardo 45). The primary cell wall has cellulose micro fibrils embedded in polysaccharide matrix. The matrix polysaccharides contain pectin, and hemicelluloses. Some of the pectin contained includes Arabinan, homogalacturonan, and galactan. Some of the hemicelluloses include xylan, callose, and xyglucan. The hydrated matrix has both flexibility and strength. The cell walls have two groups of polysaccharides called hemicelluloses and pectin and few amounts of structural protein. The polysaccharides matrix consists of wide array of polymers that vary according to cell type and plant species. A schematic diagram of major structural components of primary cell wall depicts cellulose micro fibrils with xyloglucan coatings that may cross-links to each other (Loewus 18). All the polysaccharides have their names after principal sugars for instance glucan polymer consists of glucose, xylan consists of xylose, and galactan consists of glucose. A compound name for the hemicelluloses does not mean a branched structure. Xyloglucan contain a chain of glucose residues with xylose sugars on the side chains. Glucomannan is a polymer that contains glucose and mannose. Loewus (4) says that

Music In My Life Presenation Essay Example for Free

Music In My Life Presenation Essay MUSIC Music is an influence in everyone’s life. The type of music you listen to can shape the person you become and how you act in different situations. The first instrument I learned how to play was the piano. I only played for about a year or so, then I moved on to the violin. I was a big fan of the violin and recall playing in several recitals with my instructor. I found the recitals to be both exciting and nerve racking at the same time, but in the end it was an unforgettable experience I could not live without. During my high school years I became a fan of the guitar. I started playing the acoustic guitar and I enjoyed it more than every other instrument I ever played growing up. Upon my high school graduation, I purchased my own electric guitar. From that day on I tried to play it as often as I could, but now I do not have the time for it like I used to which is a shame and depressing. MY DREAMS One of my fears in life is not having enough time to achieve all of my dreams. I would love to go on a cruise to the Caribbean. While growing up, vacations with my family were a big part of my life and continuing that lifestyle is of utmost importance to me. I am an adventurous type of person and would enjoy doing a few â€Å"extreme† activities in my life. These activities would consist of skydiving and bungee jumping. Another dream of mine is to visit every state in the United States, as well as travel around the world. Later on in life, I would like to complete my career goals by obtaining my PhD to further my career. One of my biggest dreams I hope to achieve someday would be to go to Germany and visit the town named after my family. In Germany, my family was considered Dukes and we eventually had a town named after us. This would be an ideal vacation and it is one the most amazing things I hope to do at some point in my life.

Choosing a Vegan Lifestyle Essay -- Argumentative Animal Rights Vegan

Choosing a Vegan Lifestyle Erica is going out on a date tonight with a boy from her Biology class. She takes a long shower and washes herself with hard animal fat. Next, she neatly spreads grease derived from wool onto her lips. To finish herself off, she spreads liquid from a shark liver onto her face and sprays some oils and liquids derived from the anal sex gland of the beaver and whale excretion. Now she is ready to go as she is sure that she will impress her date with her dolled up appearance. Little does she know that the soap, lipstick, makeup and perfume have all been created from the slaughter of innocent animals. Animal production for agricultural purposes is harmful to humans, the environment, and of course, the animals which are subjected to testing, mistreatment, and distressing conditions. Veganism is an alternate healthy lifestyle in which people choose not to consume or purchase products which harm animals, their personal health, and the environment as a result of animal production. Becoming a vegan may take some initial adjusting, but after acknowledging all the problems that the meat industry creates, it will hopefully seem like the only choice to make. For the sake of animals, personal nutrition and the environment, choosing a vegan lifestyle reflects a beneficial outcome for all. Animals are the unfortunate, innocent test subjects used when creating new products. Every year, except in UK where it is banned, millions of animals are subjected to painful experiments simply so that people can have a new brand of shampoo or a new scent of perfume. There are three main tests which animals are subjected to. Trees also absorb carbon dioxide, so fewer trees mean more global warming. And it is not just the land that suffers. Every year farmers in the UK spread about 80 million tons of animal manures and other organic farm wastes on to the land as fertilizer. Much of this runs off into nearby rivers or streams. This run-off endangers the health of fish and other animals in the area. This shows how meat and dairy production is an unproductive use of land, food and water. Choosing a vegan lifestyle is beneficial to humans, animals, and the environment. Supporting veganism can make a big difference in the world. Whether it is for animals, personal nutritional reasons, the environment, or all three, there is no reason why anyone should not at least consider or support becoming a vegan.

Benihana Case Study and Notes on Deep Change

Case Study Component: Benihana of Tokyo 1. What are the differences between the Benihana production process and that of a typical restaurant? Benihana focuses on creating a dining experience that is not just about the food and service as most other restaurants do. Benihana emphasizes customer entertainment whereas when you eat at a typical restaurant you and your family, friend, or partner have to create your own entertainment. By using the hibachi table where chefs make the food right in front of you, Benihana puts on a show for their customers. The interior design and the vibe of the restaurant makes the entire experience feel authentic and special for the customers 2. How does Benihana seat the maximum number of customers? By designing the restaurant’s floorplan in a strategic way, Benihana is able to maximize the usage of each square foot. Benihana decided to take away employee space and use it to create more space for tables. This employee space includes creating an effici ently smaller kitchen as well as the employee pass-through, back room, and bathrooms. 3.How does peak-time differ from non-peak-time? At non-peak time hours, customers are given more time and comfort to be able to enjoy their meals and dining experience at the restaurant. At the peak-time hours, Benihana employees focus very intensely on having quick table turnover to maximize the number of customers they can get. For peak-time hours usually customers are there for around 45 minutes whereas during non-peak time hours customers are usually there for around 90 minutes. 4. What is the role of â€Å"entertainment† in the restaurant? As mentioned before, Benihana places a great emphasis on entertainment unlike most other restaurants. When customers come to Benihana they are paying for the experience and for their entertainment value. Entertainment is central to Benihana’s business model because it is one of the biggest reasons for why customers come to their restaurant. Deep Change: How Operational Innovation Can Transform Your Company. a) If operational innovation is so beneficial, why don’t more companies adopt it?Operational innovation is very beneficial but companies have to weigh the benefits and costs of changing their operations. Companies also need to consider whether these benefits are short-term or long-term benefits and whether it fits well in their business model. New technology and innovation does not always prove to be a good idea hence why many companies see it as a large risk. Another problem that companies face with operational innovation is finding someone who will tackle the challenge of bringing it into the workplace, properly installing it, and teaching all the other employees how to use it.A lot of people at the high management levels often do not see the need for operational innovation if things are already smooth and steady so they often overlook a potential future need for operational innovation. It is a big organization al change which requires a lot of time and more often than not, people are not very willing to change the way they work especially if it requires time and effort to learn how to use it. b) How can firms accelerate operational innovation? Companies should look at other role model companies within their industry. They can see how operational innovation has worked for them and see how it can be incorporated into the company. Firms need to also understand and identify what they want to be and what their goal or vision is for the company. By doing this, firms are able to see if certain operational innovation will allow them to reach their goal. Companies also need to identify and defy a constraining assumption because every operational innovation â€Å"defies an assumption about how work should be done. If the company carefully chooses an operational innovation and implements it into their company properly, the operations of the company will be transformed for the better, especially in t he long-term. c) Does operational innovation provide a sustainable competitive advantage? If the innovation is unique and efficient, it will provide the company with a sustainable competitive advantage. However, if a company steals the innovation from another competitor, it may help them compete even more intensely but it does not mean that it is a sustainable competitive advantage.

Financial Statements Essay

There are four basic financial statements that companies use. They begin with income statement, statement of owner’s equity, balance sheet, and the statement of cash flows. Company’s use income statements to report how much money they have made and how much they have spent over a specified period of time. The statement of owner’s equity is used to report any changes in equity from a company’s net income or net loss, as well as report changes in the owner’s investments and withdrawals over a specified period of time. The balance sheet is used to report a company’s financial position at any point in time. This statement includes information such as what types of assets and their amounts, liabilities, and equity. The statement of cash flows is the last document out of the four basic financial statements. This statement is used to report how much money a company is bringing in (receipts), and how much they are spending (payments), during a specific period of time. Any changes found in assets and liabilities on a balance sheet reflect the revenues and expenses found in the income statement, which in turn results in gains or losses for a company. The statement of cash flows reports more information concerning the cash assets that are listed on a balance sheet and a linked, but not necessarily the same, as the net income found on the company’s income statement. Financial statements are nothing but numbers on a document when they’re on their own, but together, they provide valuable and powerful information for a company to make very big decisions about how to run their company, and how to make decisions for their company in the future. The information is also valuable for investors to make wise and educated decisions for investing in companies.

Business Presention IP3 Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words - 1

Business Presention IP3 - Essay Example Hence, there is a dire need for a distance education system that would allow these types of people to ease up the troubles of learning, while having more time for work and the family. After a brief backgrounder, I plan educate the audience of the objectives of the presentation and how ABC Corporation could benefit in investing in our company. The objectives of my presentation are the following: a) to briefly introduce Creative Learning Center; b) to emphasize the essence of a distance education system in today’s society; and c) how Creative Learning Center and ABC Corporation could bridge the education gap. Through these objectives, I hope that I could make an indelible impression on my audience about the need for a learning education system, the difference of Creative Learning Center among other distance education systems, and the importance and role of Creative Learning Center and ABC Corporation in the field of distance education system. Aside from doing all these through a PowerPoint presentation, I hope I could also use a video presentation interview, if time and opportunities permit, of those people who have benefited and look as e-learning as a very helpful tool in attaining one’s goals and objectives in life. The video presentation would also serve as first hand information and testament, proving the importance of this type of business venture in today’s restless modern society. During the presentation, I plan not to be too aggressive with my presentation. Instead, I would play the role, not of a businessman, but that of an individual, a father, a mother, a husband, and a wife, who sees the potential of this opportunity as a viable option in preparation for the future. With this image, I hope to relay to the CEOs and other executives of ABC Corporation of the need for such an educational system,
